			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client is seeking a <strong>Vice President of Engineering</strong>. This position reports directly to the President, and operates out of their Southern New Hampshire Engineering and Manufacturing facilities.</p>
<p>The centerpiece of this  patented system is a novel radar technology that will support both civilian and military applications. While expert knowledge in radar is not essential, experience working with sensors is considered a plus. This initiative will have  International impact and the founding team has laid a solid foundation of collaborative relationships to leverage the successful launch of this technology.</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br />
The VP of Engineering will lead this development team from its current R &amp; D phase to the commercialization of their innovative patented technology. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technology development experience in a start-up environment, from concept to manufacturing, with a successful track record managing complex projects involving significant software and hardware components.  Candidate must deploy effective engineering management systems that keep projects and commitments on track and within budget.</p>
<p>He or she will be responsible for leading a highly technical, multidisciplinary team, with a schedule-driven, but human touch. We are looking for someone who excels at motivating individuals and promoting a culture of teamwork within and across teams. While this is an Executive role, it is important that candidates have a passion and curiosity for technology, and thrives in the challenge of a creative start-up environment.</p>
<p>He or she must have experience in both the commercial and defense sectors. The candidate needs to be able to navigate the defense landscape.  In addition to the initial applications, this radar technology has strong potential to be applicable in a variety of adjacent markets, including military settings. Also, many of their sub-contractors work exclusively in defense, so familiarity with government as client is a must.<br />
<strong><br />
</strong><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />
BSEE required, MSEE preferred, PhD ideal &#8211; other disciplines will be considered<br />
Mix of commercial start-up and defense background at the Manager or Executive level<br />
Experience in commercial technology innovation a must<br />
Experience with radar or sensors is ideal<br />
Successful track record managing complex projects with significant software and hardware components<br />
Track record of deploying effective engineering management systems resulting in projects and commitments remaining on track and within budget<br />
Exceptional communication, presentation, and people skills<br />
Small company/start-up preferred<br />
Experience working through regulatory issues with federal agencies is preferred</p>

We are look for a Senior Quality Engineering Manager to join our global supply chain group based in Boston’s Innovation District. In this hands-on position, you’ll establish the robotics’ quality engineering function and will work closely with our component suppliers and contract manufacturing partners to successfully launch new products. <em>Consideration will be given only to candidates with relevant experience manufacturing complex electromechanical systems and extensive supplier quality management skills.</em><br />
<strong><br />
Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Establish and execute comprehensive quality management programs and develop strong peer relationships with our contract manufacturing partners</li>
<li>Evaluate and qualify new component suppliers and ensure partners are prepared to support the production ramp</li>
<li>Implement a first article approval process, establish quality standards and oversee 3rd party source quality services</li>
<li>Develop metrics, conduct regular site audits, monitor ongoing quality performance, and drive continuous improvement actions with key supply partners and contract manufacturers</li>
<li>Lead the qualification of new component production tooling and fixtures</li>
<li>Establish and drive a supplier corrective action process</li>
<li>Regularly communicate quality performance and improvement status with supply partners and the company’s functional teams</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>BS in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline plus a minimum of 10 years experience in quality engineering for manufacturing, at least 5 years in a leadership role</li>
<li>Prior experience establishing a quality function and programs at a start-up or comparable organization</li>
<li>Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; Quality assurance certification (CQE, CQA, CQM) desirable</li>
<li>Position requires strong working knowledge of tooling and processes used to manufacture precision mechanical components (e.g. injection molded plastics, production machining, casting, sintering and stamping)</li>
<li>Microsoft Access, Excel or other statistical data package skills</li>
<li>Strong problem solving, facilitation and analytical abilities</li>
<li>Outstanding written and verbal communications skills</li>
<li>Domestic and international travel required</li>
</ul>

<p>We are seeking a hands-on Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our highly collaborative and talented engineering team in Boston, MA. The Principal Mechanical Engineer will be an individual contributor who will serve as the technical lead and mentor to other mechanical engineering team members. This position will report to the Director of Systems Engineering.</p>
<p><strong>Major Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and participate in development efforts for ground breaking electromechanical systems throughout the entire product life cycle – personally contributing to prototyping, product development, system testing and characterization, manufacturing support and ongoing cost reduction and product improvement activities</li>
<li>Drive the adoption of industry best practices for low cost design, design for mass production, design for manufacturing and design for assembly efforts and mentor other team members in these areas</li>
<li>Work closely with Product Management and Design functions, as well as other engineering functions, to develop innovative mechanical architectures for new and existing products</li>
<li>Lead and manage projects to develop new mechanical systems and sub-components for new and existing products</li>
<li>Communicate with vendors, specify and select components, and work closely with customers and product managers to ensure designs meet stated requirements</li>
<li>Lead and contribute to a process of continuous improvement and cost reduction for existing product lines</li>
<li>Lead and contribute to verification testing and risk analysis activities such as FMEA</li>
<li>Support product documentation efforts, including creating technical specifications that implement market and product requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering</li>
<li>At least 10 years of hands-on experience designing complex electromechanical products for high manufacturing volumes that were released to customers in a commercial setting</li>
<li>Extensive experience developing mass produced products that utilized a variety of low cost manufacturing processes and techniques</li>
<li>Excellent team player; comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, interdisciplinary team comprising mechanical, electrical, controls and software engineers, as well as designers, product managers and manufacturing and operations personnel</li>
<li>Proven track record in all phases of the product development cycle</li>
<li>Proficiency in Solidworks, Pro/Engineer or a comparable mechanical CAD package</li>
<li>Experience with a variety of prototyping techniques, including SLS, SLA and other rapid prototyping techniques, metal casting techniques, machining, sheet metal fabrication and similar processes</li>
<li>Experience fabricating parts using: die casting, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, thermoforming and similar manufacturing processes</li>
<li>Experience in industrial automation equipment or robotics is desirable</li>
<li>Outstanding verbal and written communications skills</li>
<li>Experience working with a software development team is a plus</li>
</ul>

<p>We are seeking a Product Manager to help implement this vision of teachable and sentient robots. This position will report to the Director of Product Management</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the company product expert and evangelist</li>
<li>Work with an interdisciplinary team of designers, marketers, business development professionals and engineers to implement and maintain processes for product design, development and product release</li>
<li>Coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers, prospects and internal constituencies</li>
<li>Create detailed use cases, business requirements, and marketing requirements</li>

<li>Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses</li>
<li>Coordinate beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements. Participate in product performance benchmarking activities</li>
<li>Support marketing, sales and support through leading the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos</li>
<li>Contribute to product strategy and roadmap definition and management</li>
<li>Support the development of core positioning and messaging for the product</li>
<li>Support the creation of market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and prospects</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in an engineering or computer science discipline, or comparable industry experience in a technical role</li>
<li>At least 5 years of product management experience for a software and/or industrial hardware product</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills</li>
<li>Excellent team player with demonstrable experience working in cross-functional teams comprising design, engineering, marketing and sales</li>
<li>Experience with software development processes is required; agile experience is highly desirable</li>
<li>This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%)</li>

<p>We seek a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join us in the transfer to manufacturing of our current generation of robots and the development of the next generation platform. In this position you will be part of a small, creative and agile team that integrates sensors, BLDC motors, motion controllers, actuators, battery systems and a User Interface to build autonomous robots. <em><strong>Applicants must have experience developing electro-mechanical products from inception to production and service.</strong></em></p>
<p>We look for a strong technical contributor with excellent design skills that can independently lead projects to conclusion on time and budget relying on internal and/or external resources.</p>
<p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>
<ul>
<li>Support/Debug/DVT/Develop manufacturing test of current generation electronics</li>
<li>Develop new product concepts and lead the design, manufacturing and board bring-up process</li>
<li>Oversee / direct / manage regulatory testing and documentation</li>
<li>Support firmware development and debug</li>
</ul>
<p>REQUIREMENTS:</p>
<p>BSEE/MSEE preferred.</p>
<p>10/15 years relevant experience.</p>
<p>Training and/or experience in the following areas apply:</p>
<ul>
<li>Battery (smart) powered systems</li>
<li>Distributed power electronics</li>
<li>Digital design (LVCMOS discrete logic, SPI, I2C/SMBus, UART, I/O)</li>
<li>Motor controller circuit design</li>
<li>Sensors (Accelerometers, Gyros, Optoelectronics, Hall-effect, Shaft encoders)</li>
<li>Design for EMC/ESD immunity, transient protection, chassis grounding, etc.</li>
<li>Microprocessors (ARM Cortex A8 (or newer), DRAM, FLASH, USB, DMA, Vectored Interrupts)</li>
<li>PCB design (Orcad/Allegro and/or PADs, FAB, Assembly, Test)</li>
<li>Experience with high vibration environments, conformal coating beneficial</li>

<p>This innovative Robotics manufacturer is seeking a high-energy, seasoned manager to develop and lead their Manufacturing Group. This person will supervise all production functions, including supply chain, production/assembly, and quality.<br />
<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Experience must include:</strong><br />
• Management position; overall responsibility for manufacturing organization<br />
•<em><strong> Prior experience in a start-up or comparable organization</strong></em><br />
• Introduced highly technical, electro-mechanical new products<br />
• Manufactured domestically with volumes in 100&#8242;s to low 1,000&#8242;s<br />
• Set up complete set of production capabilities in an organization without existing infrastructure<br />
• Hired and supervised supply chain, assembly, and quality/test personnel<br />
• Worked with contract manufacturers. Managed box build and sub-assembly outsourcing<br />
• Interfaced extensively with engineering team. Transitioned evolving designs to production<br />
• BS or MS in engineering, operations, or other relevant discipline preferred<br />
<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Required skills and knowledge:</strong><br />
• Components such as: PCBAs, cable assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, machined parts, various plastics, plastic and metal moldings.<br />
• Tooling, fixtures, and other NRE<br />
• Deep knowledge of key processes and tools  such as MRP software;  scheduling / planning / build / quality / inventory procedures,  etc.  Able to<br />
rapidly put these in place, positioned to ramp for growth.<br />
• Can work as a hands-on contributor, while simultaneously developing and supervising a team</p>
<p><strong>Pluses include:</strong><br />
• Hands-on supply chain experience, including supplier qualification and selection, supplier management, and resource planning<br />
• Cost management and reduction<br />
• DFM / DFT<br />
• Strong network of suppliers of relevant components (see above), as well as box build / contract manufacturers<br />
• Experience negotiating pricing, contracts, value-add services, and complex delivery requirements</p>

<p>We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to help us implement our vision.    The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:</p>

<p>This position will report to the Manager of Software Quality Assurance.</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop test plans and test cases based upon functional and software design specifications for specific functional areas</li>
<li>Execute test cases, analyze and provide detailed test reports containing system setup and monitoring information, as well as detailed test results analyses​</li>
<li>Participate actively in functional, system, stress and regression testing activities</li>
<li>Quantitatively measure product usability, performance, safety and provide detailed reports</li>
<li>Automate testing procedure to possible extend</li>
<li>Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues</li>
<li>Work closely with product design/management and user experience teams to provide feedback and input for future product development activities</li>
<li>Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, code and documentation reviews</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1~3 yrs of experience in software QA</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodology</li>
<li>Experience in manual testing of complex systems and/or software</li>
<li>Experience working with Linux environment</li>
<li>Experience testing combination of hardware and software</li>
<li>Programming in python/C++/embedded or equivalent is a big plus</li>
<li>Experience in a start-up environment, including exposure to Agile adds further value</li>
<li>Background in robotics and/or automation/or complex consumer electronics is highly desirable</li>

<p><strong>We are seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician </strong> to support the Engineering and Operations teams. This robotics venture has been growing exponentially and needs to hire a very strong Electromechanical Technician to manage, upgrade, and maintain their fleet of robots.<br />
The ideal candidate for this position has experience with sophisticated electromechanical new product development. An Associates Degree or equivalent is preferred.</p>

<p>This person will join a small but rapidly growing Manufacturing group. S/he will also provide general purchasing support to a talented, exciting, fast-paced start-up team.</p>
<p><strong>DESCRIPTION</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assemble, modify, test and troubleshoot fixtures, components, and robots</li>
<li>Organize and keep track of lab space, supplies and inventory</li>
<li>Assist engineers with experiments and research</li>
<li>Document procedures and test results</li>
<li>Use spreadsheets and write reports</li>
<li>Keep detailed logs and notes</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>
<p><strong>Electrical skills should include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Precision hand soldering</li>
<li>Basic PCB design, layout, BOM management, test and debug</li>
<li>Electrical troubleshooting with basic tools and oscilloscope</li>
<li>Basic familiarity with schematics</li>
<li>Electrical and cable assembly</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Mechanical skills should include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Mechanical assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting/debug skills</li>
<li>Light machining (mill/lathe)</li>
<li>Light rework</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experience with the following would be a plus</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Circuit boards</li>
<li> Sheet metal</li>
<li>Cable assemblies</li>
<li>Bent tubing</li>
<li>Motors and gearboxes</li>
<li>Various plastics</li>
<li>Metrology</li>
<li>Inspection</li>
<li>Calibration</li>
</ul>

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our global supply chain group based in Boston, MA.<br />
<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Evaluate and qualify new component suppliers and ensure partners are prepared to support the production ramp.</li>
<li>Establish and execute comprehensive quality management programs and develop strong peer relationships with Tier 1 supply base partners.</li>
<li>Implement a first article approval process, establish quality standards and oversee 3rd party source quality services.</li>
<li>Develop metrics, conduct regular site audits, monitor ongoing quality performance, and drive continuous improvement actions with key supply partners.</li>
<li>Lead the qualification of new component production tooling and fixtures.</li>
<li>Establish and drive a supplier corrective action process.</li>
<li>Regularly communicate quality performance and improvement status with supply partners and Heartland Robotics&#8217; functional teams.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>BS in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline plus a minimum of 5 years experience in process, manufacturing or industrial engineer role.</li>
<li>Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; Quality assurance certification (CQE, CQA, CQM) desirable.</li>
<li>Position requires strong working knowledge of tooling and processes used to manufacture precision mechanical components (e.g. injection molded plastics, production machining, casting, sintering and stamping).</li>
<li>Relevant experience executing quality programs with mechanical and electronic component suppliers in a startup company environment.</li>
<li>Microsoft Access, Excel or other statistical data package skills.</li>
<li>Strong problem solving, facilitation and analytical abilities.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills.</li>
<li>Domestic and international travel required</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>DESCRIPTION</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of tests to validate durability and production quality at sub-assembly and final assembly of electromechanical devices</li>
<li>Setup and perform laboratory tests, analyze/summarize data, generate test reports with conclusions &amp; risk assessment</li>
<li>Makes decisions which influence product quality and impact product availability</li>
<li>Responsible to provide a core competency to engineering and manufacturing in the area of Automatic Test Defect Detection</li>
<li>Co-develop production test specifications as part of a cross functional team</li>
<li>Design and implement test hardware and software including assembly, debug, and documentation at both internal and key supplier sites</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>B.S. in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent plus 5 years of demonstrated experience in an electromechanical manufacturing test engineering role (PCBA and complex system level test)</li>
<li>Proven track record working with teams comprised of internal and external resources in designing and developing in-process manufacturing test, including custom test equipment and software for robot motion control systems, PCBAs, electrical interconnect and system integration</li>
<li>Has transitioned, launched and ramped complex electromechanical products at external manufacturing partners with a disciplined focus on Design to Cost, Manufacturability, Test, Quality and Reliability (DFx)</li>
<li>Minimum 3+ years experience actively using LabVIEW and SolidWorks</li>
<li>Experience with regulatory testing, EMC compliance, product verification and validation</li>
<li>Must be ambitious, agile, highly motivated and have experience working in a dynamic, start-up environment</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills</li>
<li>Domestic and international travel required</li>
